Studio Visit

Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset welcomed LEAP Patrons in their Berlin studio, where they introduced their forthcoming projects. The duo have been working together since 1995,developing a practice located at the intersection of art, architecture, performance and installation. Preoccupied with objects and their settings, along with the discourse that can arise when those objects are radically recontextualised, Elmgreen and Dragset push against normal modes for the display of art. Whether through sculptures or total environments, their work draws attention to the institutions that host them and their attendant politics.
